• 1. What is SUNSET AUTO CLUB?
    SUNSET is a private club for high-performance exotic and luxury sports car enthusiasts to embark on fun, open road driving adventure through the finest scenic highway and country backroads. Just for a few hours, we drive together as a group throughout the Mid-Atlantic and beyond to a variety of unique destinations.
  • 2. Who can join the club?
    We are an all-inclusive high-performance exotic, luxury and classic auto club with a variety of car makes and models that meets our style and quality criteria.
  • 3. Do I have to live in the DMV area to join?
    No, our events span beyond the Maryland, Virginia and Washington D.C area so anybody from anywhere can join as long as you are able to join us for events. Our events usually involve multiple stops at different locations all over the Mid-Atlantic and beyond so you can meet up with us at a stop most convenient to you.

  • 5. Is there a membership fee?
    Yes, there is a one-time membership fee of $100. There are no additional monthly and/or annual dues.
  • 6. Are your events free?
    All events hosted by Sunset Auto Club and other organizations may have a registration fee/cost associated to attend. Individuals attending club hosted events are responsible for paying their own way into them.
  • 7. What does the registration fee cover?
    Meals, Premium Car Decals, Detailed Route Card, Professional Photography, Drone Videography, Club Merchandise, 2-Way Radio Rental and Giveaways.
  • 8. Who can attend the events?
    We host our own events as well as attend other public and open ones hosted by other organizations. Club members can bring their family, friends and guests as co-pilots/passengers to all events including members-only events.
  • 8. Do I have to be a member to participate in Rallies?
    No, you can participate in our rallies either as a guest or member. Visit our rallies page and simply click on Register to join a drive.
  • 9. What sets SUNSET apart from other auto clubs?
    Our club is all inclusive and not limited to any specific make and/or model. Our events are very well organized with the most beautiful roads and scenery. There are no recurring monthly membership fees, no mandatory meetings, no strict rules and no discrimation. We are all about having fun with high performance cars, enjoying the open road and good people. Here at SUNSET, no person is above another and no car is better than the next. We treat each other with respect and drive together as a group. Additionally, we also provide means for individuals that do not have the resources to own and maintain a high performance car to still get a supercar experience through our Tours program.
  • 10.How can I join the club?
    New members can apply to join the club online and must adhere to the club principles.

  • 1. How long are the drives (rallies & cruises)?
    We try to keep the drives short and sweet. Just for a few hours (2-4 hours), we get together and enjoy fun, scenic backroads and highways and everyone can get back to their lives.
  • 2.Do you always meet at same location?
    No, we mix up our meet up locations all over Maryland, Virginia and Washington DC to make it convenient for all our participants to join the fun.
  • 3. How often do club members meet?
    We meet at least twice a month for an event (Rally, Cruise or Meet). Members are not obligated to attend events but highly encouraged as we would like to get everyone's input and feedback on events to make the club fun for all.
  • 4. I do not own a high performance car. Do you have cars that I can drive?
    Yes, our Tours program allow individuals to drive available cars in our fleet and get a supercar experience. The experience can last anywhere from 30 mins to up several hours depending on selected package. Visit our Tours page for more details.
  • 5. Can you tell me more about your Tours?
    Yes, our mission is to bring your supercar fantasy to life. Our Tours program provides access to exotic cars for individuals that do not have the resources to own and/or maintain one. There are two packages available through the Tours program: RIDE-ALONG EXPERIENCE and DRIVE EXPERIENCE. The RIDE-ALONG EXPERIENCE let's you get a ride as a passenger and the DRIVE EXPERIENCE puts you behind the wheel to drive it. Visit our Tours page for more details.
  • 6. What are the requirements to participate in the Tours?
    PILOT - Drivers must be at least 21 years of age or older, have insurance and pass a background check. RIDE-ALONG - Passengers (Co-Pilot) must be at least 7 yrs old and/or weigh 80 lbs. Please allow 3-5 days for background screening process on drivers. Visit our Tours page for more details.
  • 7. So what is the difference between your Rallies/Cruises and Tours?
    It's simple - On rallies/cruises, you drive your own car. On Tours, we provide you with an available car from our fleet to drive or ride-along.
  • 8. How much does a Tour cost?
    The RIDE-ALONG starts at $95 and DRIVE EXPERIENCE starts at $250. Special Event rentals are $250/hour.
  • 9. Do you host events for other organizations?
    Yes, we have worked with a variety of organizations such as dealerships, companies, non-profits, social clubs, government and more to set up rallies, cruises, parades and more all over the Mid-Atlantic and across the country. We'll handle all the planning and logistics so you can relax and have no worries.
